About this policy

Teller Technologies LLC makes BabyTeller. This policy covers the app, this website and support communications. BabyTeller does not require a separate account with us. Apple services, website delivery and email handling are described below.

Your care log and iCloud

The app stores the details you enter, including your child’s name and birth date, caregiver names, feeds, sleep, diapers, growth, medicines, milestones, photos, videos and notes, on your device. We do not operate a backend that receives this log.

• With iCloud enabled, the log syncs through Apple’s CloudKit under your Apple Account. Apple provides the storage and syncing under its own terms and privacy policy.
• When you share the log, the caregivers you invite can access the shared information, including photos and notes, on their devices. Manage participants or stop sharing through the app’s Sharing controls. Removing access cannot recall information someone has already copied or exported.
• Logging works offline. Changes sync when a connection is available. Widgets and the paired Apple Watch use copies of relevant log information to display your day and record actions.

Milestone cards and Messages

BabyTeller prepares a local copy of your recent milestones and still photos for its Messages extension. These copies stay on your device until you choose to share. A card includes your child’s name, milestone date and caption by default. You can hide these in Details and choose which photos to include. Messages leaves the final Send action to you.

Sharing from the app can also include original still photos. Those originals retain their existing metadata, which can include location. The rendered card does not copy camera or location metadata. Recipients receive their own copies, which cannot be recalled by deleting the milestone in BabyTeller.

Voice and dictation

In-app dictation uses on-device speech recognition. Microphone audio is not uploaded for transcription, and the app does not save microphone recordings as part of normal dictation. The recognized words are used to create care-log entries. On-device language assets may need to download before first use.

Siri is an Apple service with its own processing and privacy settings. Its handling of spoken requests is separate from BabyTeller’s in-app dictation.

Diagnostics and testing

The app keeps a limited local diagnostic log to help investigate problems. Diagnostic details can include app actions, timestamps and errors. Testing options can include recognized speech text in that log. These logs are not automatically sent to us. If you choose to export and send a log or screenshot, review it first for information you do not want to share.

Apple may provide crash reports, usage information and TestFlight feedback under Apple’s settings and terms. BabyTeller does not include a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

Permissions and reminders

Microphone and speech permissions support voice logging. Photo access supports photos you choose to add. Notification permission supports reminders scheduled locally on your device. Apple’s iCloud services also use system notifications to keep shared data up to date; we do not run a notification server for your care log.

Purchases

Pro purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your card or bank details. Apple may provide transaction and sales information needed to manage purchases. The 7-day trial and Pro offering are described on the support page; the App Store and in-app purchase screen will show the terms before purchase.

Optional tutorial videos

When you choose to play a tutorial in the app, the video loads from our Cloudflare-hosted website. Delivering that video involves processing connection information such as your IP address and the requested file. Your care log, photos and dictation audio are not included in that request. The website section below describes our hosting provider.

When you contact support

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, message and any attachments you send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and improve BabyTeller. Email passes through Cloudflare Email Routing and our email provider. Please send only the information needed to explain your issue.

We keep support correspondence as needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence or correct information by emailing the same address. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising.

This website

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting the site involves processing connection information such as IP addresses, requested pages and browser information, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Our pages also request fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address and request information when those fonts load; see Google Fonts and privacy.

The site saves your selected color theme in your browser’s local storage. You can clear it in your browser’s site-data settings. We do not add advertising trackers to these pages.

Deleting data and your choices

You can view, edit and delete care entries in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data but does not necessarily delete iCloud data, backups, a caregiver’s copy or information you exported. Manage BabyTeller’s iCloud storage and backups in your Apple Account settings, and manage caregiver access through Sharing. Apple’s retention and backup rules apply to its services.

We cannot retrieve or erase your private care log on your behalf. For information you have sent us directly, such as a support message, contact us to request access, correction or deletion. Rights and any applicable exceptions depend on where you live.

Children’s information

BabyTeller is for parents and adult caregivers, not for children to create accounts or use independently. Adults enter children’s information into their family log. We do not automatically receive that information. Avoid including a child’s personal information in support messages unless it is needed for your request.
